Swimming

Whether you’re looking for some lunchtime lap swimming, a Water Exercise or HydroFit class to build strength and cardiovascular health, a place to cool off or some lessons for a family member, OXFORD offers a wide variety of pool activities in one of the best maintained pools in the region. Kept between 87-88 degrees, our pool is ideal for enjoying the water in every way.

When it comes to lessons, we've spent decades teaching the residents of Clark County to swim, and are proud to be teaching the grandchildren of some of our first students. We take pride in giving classes that genuinely focus on teaching children wonderful skills while learning to love the water.

We hope you enjoy the low-impact, relaxing workout you can get only by being in the water. Young or old, it's good for every body. Enjoy!

Weight Rooms and ADAPT Training + Athletics Facility

OXFORD provides completely equipped workout facilities for Men and Women that include some of the latest equipment available to make your workout the best possible.  A variety of cardiovascular equipment, weight machines, free weights, functional fitness and balance tools are available to make our facility welcoming to all levels of fitness.

 

Every new member is given an ADAPT Functional Assessment that consists of two appointments with our ADAPT Certified Personal Trainers.  The Functional Assessment analyzes the imbalances in your body (whether it's from too much working out, or too much sitting in the car!) that end up resulting in injury or aches and pains.  The second part of the Assessment gives you a Plan and Tools to neutralize your body, strengthen your weaknesses and move on your way toward your goals.  ADAPT Training + Athletics is just as good for the 70-year-old with aches and pains, as it is for the 18-year-old, looking to get a college scholarship, Athlete. ADAPT ensures your body is balanced and fine-tuned.

 

In addition to ADAPT Assessments and Personal Training, the ADAPT Classes offer an experience like no other.  While taking the balance of the body into consideration ADAPT's obstacle course is geared to handle every stage of human body development.  ADAPT is dedicated to the progressive muscular requirements necessary for movement.  Come try a class on us!  You have nothing to lose!

 ADAPT Athletics @ OXFORD

              

If you're not out on the playing field, all the training you do is useless.  At ADAPT Athletics @ OXFORD, we see durability as the single most important component of athletic training.  Our workouts for players and top-end athletes are dynamic and progressive.  We guarantee coaches and athletes that we can design and athlete that moves like a gymnast and has the durability of a four-year-old.  You cannot train for one athletic component.  Isolated training leads to athletic limitations.  To construct a complete athlete, you need to develop balance, quickness, speed and strength and the body's ability to utilize all of its athletic components at once.  ADAPT teaches athletes how to master all of their physical talents....unleasing untapped athletic potential by focusing on developing full-body power.

ADAPT Training will fine-tune your ability for explosive power by prescribing customized exercises to fit your individual training level.  You will never be asked to perform a movement that is not consistent with your muscular function.

Women Only

Yes, it’s true! OXFORD is the only full-service athletic club in the region to offer a complete workout room that is exclusively for women. The women’s workout room includes all cardiovascular equipment, weights, balance tools, functional fitness tools and circuit training centers that you could ever need…….and it leads directly into the women’s locker room and pool for privacy. It’s your own getaway!


Racquetball

“Some of the best racquetball courts around!” is how our members describe our courts……Come join the fun! We have racquets for rent for newcomers, and anyone wishing to reserve a court can do so 24 hours in advance. Contact the front desk if you’re looking for a partner or someone to teach you the basics...or to find out when to join us for a "free racquetball night!" 

Basketball

Whether it's a break from lunch, or some after work pick-up games you're looking for, Oxford gives you the chance to get out and shoot some hoops!  Open gym time is available for those wanting to just shoot baskets, and games are also played throughout the day.   Call for more information!

Oxford KidFit! 

Kids 3-8 years have the opportunity to take part in our Oxford KidFit classes Monday -Thursday mornings and evenings!  Come join the fun, and learn that moving is an important part of your day!  We also offer ADAPT Youth classes for those 8-14 years old!  Kids can workout while their Parents are doing the same--good health runs in the family!!  *See front desk for fee information.
